Running a night

The first evening

  1. Start with an open table

Do not run a competitive round first. An open night with mixed experience is how a club finds out who is coming back.

  2. Pair new players with a person

A first hand taught across the table sticks. A rules sheet handed over does not.

  3. Keep a set at the venue if you can

A club set that stays at the venue removes the reason a new player cannot attend.

  4. Register members after, not before

People decide whether they are coming back after the first night. Registration is easier once they have.

Resource files are not attachedThe host system is not connected, so no file downloads from this page. The structure and governance of each resource are stated instead.
