How to keep the finish

Wipe with the grain, not across it. Keep the set out of long direct sun and away from radiators, and the finish will hold its colour.

No solvent cleaners Anything meant for a kitchen worktop will strip the face.
No soaking A damp cloth, wrung out, is the whole method.
Sun moves colour Even a stable material shifts over years in direct light.
